sharEd is a social enterprise focused on making quality learning materials and teacher training affordable. The organization is working to bring a quality play-based approach to preschool classrooms around the world.
We believe that every child, no matter where they come from, deserves an opportunity to live up to their potential, and that providing this opportunity requires access to early education beginning at an early age. At sharEd, we believe this is possible when we work together.
For our approach to be effective and sustainable, we also believe that our product must be:
1. Outrageously affordable: The sharEd Curriculum has been designed specifically to provide children with an engaging learning experience at a low cost by leveraging affordable learning activities and materials. There are eight durable, stand-alone “Themed Learning Units” that can be shared with nearby teachers every month, and by renting one unit at a time and rotating the resources and curriculum, quality education become affordable.
2. Contextually universal: This curriculum was created to be culturally and economically sensitive to the different settings in which this product will be used. Each activity was designed with the classroom context in mind, and tailored to our low-resource, high-educational quality model. The sharEd curriculum is flexible and empowers the teacher to adapt it how she/he sees best, using these tools to create a sustainable and positive ECE learning environment at an affordable price and through collaboration with peers.
3. Research-backed: The sharEd Curriculum features play, discovery, and exploration as keystones of learning, helping children to develop confidence, creativity, and critical thinking. The curriculum focuses on five development areas, which are critical for primary school readiness: Social Emotional Development, Language Development, Early Literacy, Mathematics, and Science and Health. Furthermore, multiple educational experts were consulted at every stage of the development of this curriculum.

sharEd is aiming to create a sustainable social venture for 100% of our operations. However we still need your help before we get to this ultimate goal. Please consider donating a small amount to sharEd.
